Added to the Bibliography the posthumously published article (written in
1988) by Jos Kunst: 'The status of music in Popper's World 3'. In: Muziek en wetenschap: 6 (1997) 1, 27-40.
Abstract. Some observations on music by K.R. Popper, found in his autobiography, are
discussed, specifically in relation to his world 3 concept. It is argued that the intuitions embodied in
the idea that there is, in fact, an objective world of 'the products of the human mind' (sciences, arts,
institutions and the like) are of interest to researchers in the field of music. Firstly, they put
current research into a new and fruitful perspective, and secondly, they open up new research
perspectives as well.
